Like the rest of society, non-profit groups have to find creative ways to do more with less and find new sources of revenue. To this end, the Richardson-based DFW Wildlife Coalition is asking for donations of goods so it can sell them on eBay to raise money for its educational and awareness programs.
The coalition’s “Clean Out Your Nest so We Can Feather Theirs” campaign is asking people and businesses to donate unwanted or unused goods that would normally get thrown out during spring cleaning.
The group will resell the items on eBay, with the proceeds from the sales going to the group.
The EasySale eBay consignment company has volunteered to handle the sales for the coalition, and will pick up items from donors’ homes and provide tax receipts.
