When Rudy and Beverly Delgado opened The Quarter in 2005, they brought some much-needed New Orleans fare to Far North Dallas. “There wasn’t any of our kind of food here,” Beverly says. “We have people from Louisiana come in and say, ‘Oh my gosh, I’m at home.’ It’s the real deal.” The Quarter — named after the NOLA slang for the French Quarter — is a bar, but you might easily mistake it for a full service restaurant. “You can come in here and get filet mignon at 1 in the morning,” Rudy says. “Where else can you get that?” The bar also is known for its bacon cheeseburgers, pizzas and baby back ribs along with po’ boys, muffalettas and char-grilled oysters. And it’s all made from scratch with the Delgados’ family recipes. To liven things up, there’s karaoke four nights a week and, if you’re a Saints fan, this is your bar — especially on Sundays during football season. The Quarter goes all out for Mardi Gras, St. Patrick’s Day and events like Kaboom Town and Taste Addison. “If there’s anything to celebrate, we’re celebrating,” Beverly says. “Just like they do in New Orleans.”
