Stop by the Summer Art Festival at Southwest Gallery, which runs 1-5 p.m. Saturday-Sunday, featuring Latin-theme art exhibits, demos, food, a trunk show and ballet folklorico performances. Purchase raffle tickets for $5 each to benefit the Dallas Area Parkinson’s Society.
Summer Salsa begins this weekend as part of Addison’s summer event series at Beckhert Park. Every Saturday in August, you can watch salsa dancers and learn some moves yourself. It runs 8-10 p.m. Admission is free.
Take the kids to Fretz Park Library at 11 a.m. Friday when the SPCA of Texas will present a special program, 10 Acts of Kindness, demonstrating pet responsibility.
