If you’re looking for a place to escape the heat this summer, duck into Del Frisco’s Double Eagle Steakhouse and splurge on the restaurant’s new Power Couple menu, which debuted on Memorial Day. The Advocate got a taste last week during a media promotion.
The $99 three-course menu for two features the crab cake and the filet mignon which, when cooked medium-rare, practically melts in your mouth. You can start with a house or Cesar salad. Sides include sauteed mushrooms, a baked potato, a creamy and bacon-y spinach, mashed potatoes or the vegetable of the day. You can choose two desserts (that’s right, one each), including strawberry cheesecake, bread pudding and chocolate mousse.
The menu lasts until Labor Day. Deli Frisco’s is at Spring Valley and Noel across from the Galleria.
