The gas station-themed steakhouse chain Quaker Steak and Lube will make its way through Texas this year with plans to open a location in North Dallas. The owners cannot confirm where exactly, since they are still looking at several potential spots.
First, it will sprout up in Waco this July and then Carrollton in September. Stores are coming to North Dallas and Plano by the end of this year or in early 2013.
Quaker Steak (or “The Lube”) is known for its wings, ribs, steaks and burgers and has more than 20 sauces. The restaurants are decorated with cars suspended from the ceiling along with other car and motorcycle memorabilia.
The chain began in 1974 in Sharon, Pa., and now has 50 locations across 15 states.
