"Self Offense" by Bernardo Diaz is on display as part of Respect: Aritsts Invite Artists at Valley House
Fretz Park Library is hosts Go Van Gogh- Impressions of Dallas at 2 p.m. Friday. Children ages 6-12 can explore Dallas’ past through the watercolor paintings of George Grosz and paint their own art.
The Addison 2012 Summer Series provides free music at Beckhart Park. Every Saturday night in June, Troubador, TX presents Songwriter Saturdays at 8 p.m. This week features Jon Christopher Davis, Brice Beaird and Guthrie Kennard. Admission is free and you’re welcome to bring coolers with drinks and food.
Respect: Artists Invite Artists opens with a reception 6-8:30 tonight at the Valley House Gallery and Sculpture Garden. Valley House artists invited other artists they respect to display their art. Painters, sculptors, photographers and others will show their artwork until Aug. 11.
One of a Kind Market is a free, two-day event this Saturday and Sunday at the Richardson Civic Center. The arts and craft fair features the work of more than 50 artists, crafters and designers. Items include clothing, artwork, soaps, leather work, jewelry and glass work.
