This Wednesday, Wicked Po’boys opens in Richardson’s Eastside complex at Campbell and Greenville. After moving to Dallas, Joey Le and wife Lan Chi Le missed New Orleans cuisine. In Louisiana, they loved dining at small po’boy places and realized there is nothing like this in the North Dallas area.
On the menu, there is a “Gulf” section with po’boys and other seafood dishes. For non-seafood lovers, there is an “inland” menu with creative po’boys like tofu, roast beef with gravy and more. Also on the menu you’ll find gumbo, charred oysters and crawfish etoufee. To further the New Orleans feel, Wicked Po’boys will serve hot beignets as a dessert.
The couple really wanted to stay true to the Cajun atmosphere. Owner Lan Chi Le, explains in a press release, “We felt that if we stayed true to the flavors of New Orleans, we would be doing something that Dallas would really embrace. We wanted to have a genuine and honest concept that would resonate here in our own city.”
