Repertory Company Theatre presents “Li’l Abner” Friday through Aug. 26. The Tony award-winning musical comedy is based on the popular comic strip “Li’l Abner” by Al Capp. Performances run at 7:30 p.m. Friday and Saturday and 2 p.m. Sunday. Admission is $25 for adults, $20 for seniors and $14 for youth 18 and under. Call 972.690.5029.
Kittrell/Riffkind Art Glass hosts its annual Featured Artists Series with an opening reception 11 a.m.-5:30 p.m. Saturday at the studio. The glass art exhibit showcases new work from Michelle Kaptur, Yukimi Matsumoto, Nancy Nagle and Elizabeth Potenza.
The Galleria features its Runway Revue Saturday during tax-free weekend. The event includes three fashion shows: the Kids Show at noon, the Trend Show at 2 p.m. and the Tax-Free Show at 4 p.m. It’s free to watch, but seating its limited.
The Pooch Hotel has its grand opening 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday at 751 S. Central Expressway. Dogs, or “guests” can receive facials, learn fitness tips and more. Expect giveaways and one-day specials.
